Explore Tortuguero National Park’s Wildlife from Rustic Cabins
Nestled within Costa Rica’s Tortuguero National Park, our tour offers an immersive wildlife experience amidst untouched rainforest. Known for its extensive waterways that irrigate the Northern Caribbean region, this remote and pristine area teems with diverse wildlife. Encounter sloths, monkeys, crocodiles, toucans, trogons, water birds, colorful frogs, and butterflies in their natural habitat. From July to October, witness the awe-inspiring nesting of green and leatherback sea turtles, with optional night tours available for this extraordinary event.
Tour Details:
Day 1: Depart for the Caño Blanco embarkation area and journey north via the main canal into Tortuguero National Park. Check into rustic cabin accommodations and visit Tortuguero Village in the afternoon.
Day 2: Embark on a guided canoe trip through jungle lagoons and hidden canals, observing wildlife up close with insights from your naturalist guide. Delve deeper into the rainforest, where the canals narrow, enhancing your wildlife viewing experience.
Our cabins provide a comfortable retreat amidst the wilderness, ensuring a memorable and educational journey into one of Costa Rica’s most biodiverse regions.
Depart from San José or Alajuela in a private shuttle. Enjoy a comfortable and scenic drive towards the Caribbean coast.
Breakfast Stop Pause for a hearty breakfast at a local restaurant. Savor a delicious meal to fuel up for the journey ahead.
Arrival at Pavona Arrive at Pavona and prepare for the boat transfer. Take a short break to stretch and use facilities.

Return to the hotel Free time to enjoy the pool, jacuzzi, and surroundings

Meet at the dock for the morning departure by boat back to San Jose or any other destinations like South Caribbean, Arenal or Sarapiqui. In case of going elsewhere, let us know in advance.
Arrival at La Pavona or Caño Blanco, now it is time to board the bus for the trip back to San Jose

The order and / or route of the itinerary may change due to weather conditions. • Baggage is limited to 25 pounds per person for all packages, however, if the client brings a medium sized luggage and a briefcase that is ok, as long as he can carry it. • Adventure packages and custom designed package available also, including the kayaking package and many more.
